Background
Transactor’s success story continues, underpinned by the core belief that happy and profitable customers need solutions partners with quality products and services and a continuing commitment to innovation to keep them ahead of the pack.
Transactor is not about preserving the ‘Status Quo’, it is about changing it. There are about 4,500 general insurance intermediary businesses in the UK today. That number is likely to shrink over the next few years, possibly to as few as 1,500. Transactor is aimed at the businesses that have recognised we are in the middle of a technical and commercial revolution in insurance, and want to play a role in defining the future of the channel.
TGSL want to help shape the emergent direct, affinity, and sub-agent market for both volume and niche business by empowering users at every level to define and manage their own destinies. You have the ideas, we give you the tools to make them happen.
Transactor has been developed in the United Kingdom, and whilst the majority of our users have always been UK based, vast experience has also been gained from building Transactor solutions for clients all over the world, where independence and user configurability are even more critical. This experience has been put to good use as the UK industry moves forward under FSA compliance. Each solution is delivered ‘configured’ around the individual client's needs, but Transactor provides sophisticated 'self-management' options giving massive flexibility and empowerment at every level of the enterprise from live-date onwards.
TGSL currently employ some 50 staff with a turnover of about £3M. TGSL supports about 30 clients in the UK, with several more in Australia, the USA, and Ireland. TGSL clients range from 300 seat call-centres, to 5 seat specialist brokers. TGSL currently service over 100 Internet brands in the UK market alone, including many recognised and important brands such as KwikFit, Insure 4 Retirement, Homebase, Adrian Flux Group, Key Connect, Petplan, Arachas, Heath Lambert Group, JLT, CaravanGuard, and Yachtmark.
2007 sees TGSL focusing on the opportunities represented by the UK ‘consumer revolution’, now enshrined in mandatory FSA regulatory compliance. We see our ‘functionality rich’ and ‘user self-management’ approach playing a decisive role in helping insurers and intermediaries alike re-shape their business and their cultures as the channel responds to the new demands placed upon it.
