NIG Live For Motorcycle EDI On Transactor
NIG, part of The Royal Bank of Scotland Group, has completed testing of full-cycle motorcycle EDI on Transactor 6.2. NIG provide insurance products exclusively through a network of over 3,000 brokers, and currently serve over 2 million policyholders in the UK providing cover for motor cars, vans, motorcycles, homes and businesses. NIG is the third largest insurer of motorcycles in the UK and growing.
Three NIG products are now live for full-cycle EDI, available through NIG approved motorcycle brokers. The flagship product, ‘Trophy Screen’ is an innovative policy, matching the rider and machine to provide the best cover at a competitive price, and offers a variety of traditional discounts for no claims bonus, voluntary excesses, older motorcycles, motorcycles garaged in a locked and secure building overnight, security devices as well as a number of “lifestyle” discounts for proposers who are credit card holders, homeowners, are female riders or who elect to never carry pillion passengers. In addition to that, a TPF&T product is available, as well as a TPO product. The latter is only offered alongside a secondary ADF&T policy from another insurer.
“It is great to be able to offer the complete NIG motor cycle product range to our broker clients,” confirms Ray Vincent, Managing Director TGSL. “The underwriting support features
of the Transactor RoadRisk software, combined with NIG’s own expertise as Polaris users, has proved invaluable in achieving the very tight deadlines we have met. This is the first of our ‘Milton Keynes’ product implementations to go live, and Ron Pease and his team can take a lot of the credit for a brilliant job in a very short space of time. My thanks to all the team at NIG too, especially Eric Lovegrove, Keith Selby and Gordon Pennington.”
