Cox Underwriting Team Joins Transactor
Transactor Global Solutions Ltd (TGSL) – the insurance software specialist - has taken on the development and technical underwriting team formerly employed by Cox Insurance on its recently withdrawn Brokersoft product.
The team of people is headed by Ron Pease, who has been appointed TGSL’s Technical Underwriting Manager and will operate from TGSL’s newly opened Milton Keynes offices.
“Anybody who has followed quotation system development in the UK market will understand the significance of this event,” commented Ray Vincent, Managing Director of TGSL. “Ron Pease and his team were responsible for the rating development and maintenance of the Sprintgrace quotation system, generally reckoned to be the most comprehensive and accurate product ever written for the UK market. They command a huge amount of respect from both underwriters and the market in general and we are delighted to have them working with us.”
The arrival of the team as a working operational unit will have a dramatic effect on TGSL’s ability to roll-out and support motor and household insurance products during the coming months. During 2004, TGSL won several significant call-centre and scheme broker orders for it’s Transactor software and also developed an Open Market Rating version of the system in early 2004.
The Milton Keynes operation will now play a vital role in ‘adding value’ and accelerating both the integration and ongoing maintenance of Polaris products, as well as the development, testing and maintenance of non-Polaris products for Transactor and its growing user community.
