Transactor 6.2 Enhancement Schedule

Winchester, United Kingdom, March 2008.  A number of new features are being developed for inclusion in Transactor 6.2 “Originally, the intention was to put all the new ideas into the forthcoming Version 7 product”, explains Mark Rogers, Applications Director, TGSL. “However following an internal review it was recognised that there was very little commercial pressure on TGSL to bring out a new version this year, because we are so far ahead with the current version that there is little or no competition in its chosen sectors anyway. Instead we decided to move some development back into the current version 6.2 product, and delay Version 7 release until December this year, when some of our key clients are a little less busy and can take the time out to absorb Transactor 7”. Some of the major items now earmarked for 6.2 are described below.

Build Your Own Transactional Websites With HTML Output From The Screen Designer Toolset (Version 3*)

The current Screen Designer Toolset (version 2) enables the user to create a new Line of Business (LOB) in the Transactor Call Centre Application. The newly created LOB screens are saved as XML documents and are generated as Windows Forms when called within the application. A current strategic requirement identified by TGSL is that in future brokers of all sizes will want to build and maintain their own websites, at low cost and with the minimum of disruption. TGSL’s new Screen Designer will allow the user to build websites, or a public interface, over these new LOBs. Previously, TGSL would build these bespoke websites, implementing both design and development phases. Screen Designer v.3 outputs LOB screens as standard XML (for use in Call Centre) and as HTML (.aspx extension for use in a browser). Combined with a standard Transactor white label website installation, users will be able to build their bespoke LOBs, copy the HTML pages into a standard content management/design tool such as Adobe Dreamweaver Version 8, and then onto the web server, where they can run the Transactor Web Application, capturing data from the Web, and making it available to all Transactor Call Centre processes. “It will not be just quote and buy’” continues Mark Rogers, “because we will be supporting most policy life cycle processes, including MTA’s, and renewals”.

Manage 1,000’s Of Sub-Agents At A Stroke Using Relationship Manager (Version 2)

A key feature to Transactor’s configurability is the Relationship Manager Toolset. It enables Transactor users to quickly add new affinities, lines of business, and schemes as well as manage commission rates, policy terms, policy number ranges, and much else. TGSL is currently in the final stages of updating this toolset to provide even wider options for our Open Market Rating products, and some “community management” options within the Relationship Manager to provide a better user experience for the management of entire communities of agents and sub-agents from a from a single point of data entry.

Extra Security With 3D Secure

Visa and MasterCard have introduced extra security measures for online shopping in the form of Verified by Visa and 3D Secure. TGSL are committed to integrating these in to the payment process of the quote and buy web sites to help fight fraud.

Marketing Documents Don’t Have To Be Attachments With Document Manager HTML Output

The Document Manager Toolset enables users to build their own documents (in Word for Windows) using a (DM) toolbox containing tokens generated from the Transactor database schema. The Document Manager also incorporates the ability to email these documents (as packs) via ECOMail (ECOMail has a .pdf generation option). The existing email body is built in the Document Manager as plain text. The new Document Manager will allow users to import any HTML template, and using the DM toolbox, add variable tokens available from Transactor, as the body text to the email. What this means is that Transactor’s ECOMail, in combination with the new Document Manager, will be capable of originating and sending web pages as Email in their own right.

Text Messaging From Your Desktop To Your Clients As Standard With TGSL’s New Integrated SMS Option

TGSL is also integrating SMS technology into Transactor, in support of processes such as Renewal Notification, Missed/Failed Payments and Claim Progress. The usual approach of empowering the use of the toolset across the whole range of processes will be achieved by integrating the SMS features with TGSL’s the Diary Event & Triggers Toolset.
