TGSL’s Halifax Office Open For Business
Winchester, United Kingdom, March 2008. In early January 2008, Transactor Global Systems Limited (“TGSL”) took possession of its new northern regional office premises in Halifax, West Yorkshire. This will complement its Head Office in Winchester and the second regional office in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.
Halifax is renowned as a major centre of excellence for the Insurance and Financial Services sectors and the IT companies that support them. This together with a first class communications infrastructure allowing easy access to the major conurbations of the north of England and Scotland makes the creation of the new office a logical and progressive move by the company.
The other decisive factor for TGSL is that many of its clients are based in the northern part of the country and they, together with the significant number of important prospects with which TGSL is in discussion, will benefit from having an office within easy travelling distance.
Located in the nationally renowned landmark site at Dean Clough, the TGSL office is in a newly refurbished building in this vibrant business and cultural complex close to the town centre. Over the last two months the company has concentrated on getting the staff and technical infrastructure in place ready for a formal “open for Business” date of 2 April 2008. The office now accommodates a team of Project Managers, Implementation and Support staff and facilities for Training and Sales.
“One of the reasons we selected Dean Clough was the flexibility it promised with regard to supporting the changing needs of a growing business like ours”, comments Ray Vincent, Managing Director, TGSL. Less than six weeks after moving in TGSL found it necessary to double the floor space of the Halifax office to cater for stronger than predicted growth in new system sales. By May 1st TGSL will occupy two complete floors of K Mill, and there is plenty of room for future growth in the three-quarters-of-a-mile long complex.
“TGSL has advised Transactor Clients that from April 2nd 2008, the Support and Maintenance function will be operating from the new base in Halifax,” confirms Danny Kingston, Customer Services Manager, TGSL. “The physical relocation has given the company the extra space it needed to grow these key parts of the company and to give valued clients an even better service. The support team is fronted by dedicated First Line Support staff with extensive knowledge of the application and they will be able to advise and resolve quickly most of the inbound calls and emails on the spot. If it becomes necessary to involve specialist technical resources then dedicated maintenance programmers and infrastructure experts are on hand in the Halifax office to ensure a fast and accurate solution. We have been greatly assisted in achieving our objectives by the permanent relocation of two key Winchester based Transactor people, namely senior project manager and product expert Simon Shayler, and release and configuration expert Chris Pragnell.”
