Hiding Their Light Under A Bushel!

Tony joined Transactor Global Solutions (‘TGSL’) in June 2007, having spent the last few years at Insurecom, and prior to that SSP. Tony heads up a small but growing team of sales professionals dedicated to doing things the ‘Transactor’ way.

“Who on earth are Transactor?” I thought when I saw their advert for a Business Development Manager, I’d been in the insurance IT sector since 1987 and never heard of them. A quick bit of research later and it was clear they had a lot to offer technology-wise with some excellent clients, but that perhaps they had been hiding their light under a bushel, preferring to concentrate on the enterprise end of the sector for the past 5 years. To cut a long story short, I joined Transactor in June 2007 as part of TGSL’s expansion plans, to help ‘spread the word’ to the wider broking marketplace. Now the word has spread and we are very much on people’s radar with 9 new clients in the last 3 months alone.

The thing about Transactor is that it fits many different types of insurance operation, from small scheme broker start-ups to large call centres, across a whole range of commercial and personal lines products, in the UK or abroad. Most brokers looking for a new or replacement system will have a ‘tick list’, from my perspective its great that Transactor will put ticks in most, or generally ALL of the boxes.

This isn’t of course a fluke, Transactor has been honed over 5 years by many demanding and increasingly successful enterprise level broking operations. Our use of Microsoft technologies makes this easier, if you want to stay ahead you must stay up to date and using a constantly updated and evolving core platform makes doing this far easier for us than some of our competitors. Having worked for most of the other software houses in this market, I know only too well how hard it can be to adopt change if your technology either has roots in the eighties, or is so immature you don’t have a stable platform to work on.

Transactor is an end-to-end insurance solution, for the call centre and/or the web but what still fascinates me nine months in, is how straightforward Transactor’s architecture makes it to satisfy a broker’s more bespoke requirements. There is none of this scratching of heads and quoting six figure numbers, it’s always been ‘do-able’ with totally transparent and competitive fixed pricing.

Our methodology is to always start with a Project Scope, this allows us to fully understand what the broker expects and what we will deliver, lets us confirm the total cost including any third party product integration and defines the timescale from contracts to live date. No smoke and mirrors, no vapourware, no problems! With Transactor the only limitation is the limit of your imagination.
