TGSL Winning Commercial Website Business

Transactor’s website functionalityDuring the first quarter of 2006, two corporate intermediary businesses placed orders with TGSL for Transactor website and contact centre solutions. Both orders are based on B2B (business-to-business) websites offering commercial products via sub-agents. Unfortunately, nothing can be said at this stage regarding the identity of the brokers concerned, or the type of business being supported, because both are subject to non-disclosure agreements (‘NDA’s).

“The nature of the clients, and the businesses we service, is tending to make it a little difficult in PR terms for us at the moment”, comments Ray Vincent, Managing Director. “We won five orders last year that are still subject to an NDA. It is understandable; because the majority of our new business is based on a mixture of Internet and contact/call-centre implementations, and nobody wants to give too much away even after live date, lest any commercial advantage be lost. We understand and support that, but we are keen on winning new business and we need our target market to understand where we can be of assistance, and why Transactor is the best choice for them.”

Both orders are in support of new business units aiming to capitalise on the cost effectiveness of empowering sub-agents to fulfilling the new business process, and playing a role in MTA and renewal processing via a browser. Both are offering a wide range of commercial insurance products in a number of phases.

The key to Transactor’s selection was the website functionality, the stability and depth of the Transactor claims and accounts software, the speed to market, and the referenceability of Transactor. “You can obtain a half-decent quote and buy website from a number of suppliers who have no back office capability, or a half-decent back-office from a supplier with poor website capability,” comments Steve Young, Director, TGSL. “We are the only place you can get hold of an end-to-end proven solution, all written using Microsoft .Net technology, with a single database, replicated if required, and a common set of schemes, documents, web services and business processes in both the Internet and the contact centre role.”
