Integrated Call Recording For Transactor

Fareham, England, October 2004. Beginning 15th January 2005 a new set of FSA regulations come into effect, which oblige all bodies selling or advising on Insurance and Finance products to keep detailed records of all conversations. From November 1st, Transactor Global Solutions Limited (‘TGSL’) is offering fully integrated network based call recording for use with its Transactor insurance management system. TGSL has developed the software working alongside telephony specialists NeXT IS, and unlike earlier call recording systems, which depended on expensive on-site hardware, the Transactor Integrated Call Recording solution is totally non-intrusive and requires little or no dedicated infrastructure investment.

Transactor call recording utilises the NeXT IS solution for off-site recording of all inbound and outbound calls. TGSL has developed the functionality to browse, store, and replay calls from the desktop, with a full range of search parameters. Phone conversations can be stored at client and policy level within the Transactor database. The additional benefit TGSL can offer its clients by working with Next IS, is that the facility also caters for the storage and retrieval of non-Transactor related inbound and outbound calls, in other words, it is a total solution to the call recording requirements of the enterprise.

The challenge for NeXT IS was to introduce a voice recording facility that fully met the FSA requirements and regulations, whilst avoiding high capital expenditure, and overcoming ongoing costs and upgrades. NeXT IS can offer the Transactor client a complete network based call recording solution, which not only eliminates the need to purchase any in-house call recording equipment, but also eradicates any maintenance problems and costs that are usually associated with such a service. “Our solution,” explains Mark Ellis, Managing Director NeXT IS, “when integrated with TGSL’s Transactor solution, involves a minimal capital outlay, and besides network based call-recording, offers additional features such as disaster recovery capabilities, flexible storage options, multi-site recording facilities, high capacity secure storage, and it is also ideal for home workers”.

“What is becoming clear to our clients and prospective clients is that by adopting Microsoft .Net architecture two years ago, TGSL is now able to add value to Transactor at a pace our competitors cannot match,” comments Ray Vincent, Managing Director TGSL. “Full integration with call recording is unique to Transactor in the insurance software package market, so we are claiming yet another first.”
