Transactor's Roadrisk & Homerisk Products - Off To A Flying Start
Fareham, England, September 2004. Twenty three UK insurers are now working with TGSL on the Transactor RoadRisk and HomeRisk full-cycle quotation suite. Initial load tests of the motor and household new business quotation process have yielded response times of under 5 seconds for 250 schemes, finally removing any doubt that the Windows environment can not only compete against the legacy environments for speed, but beat them.
RoadRisk and HomeRisk are on order for three major UK call-centres, and seven medium sized broker enterprises in the UK. The first site to go live is Lexham’s Insurance, in mid-October 2004. Nine further live dates will take place before the end of Q1 2005, with the overall policy count on road and property risk launching at well over 1,250,000.
“I am very happy with the progress on this project, and the level of support we have enjoyed from the UK insurance industry has been fantastic,” comments Ray Vincent, Managing Director, TGSL. “We have offered our insurer partners a good deal on the implementation and life-cycle costs of Transactor Open Market Rating (‘OMR’) representation. We can do this without damaging ourselves because our software is designed right, and managed by toolsets that give us a low cost of implementation, which we can pass on to our supporting insurers. We want to be the best people to trade with in the UK market on the OMR side. For the 23 insurers we are already working with, we have agreed to be bound by the ETPG Service Level Agreement, and have offered a lifetime tariff for product implementation and EDI support that works for us, and is deliberately better than the legacy providers.”
