Kwik-Fit Select Transactor for its Hi-Growth Household Operation
Winchester, United Kingdom, September 2007. Since its inception in 1995, Kwik-Fit Insurance Services (‘KFIS’) has grown and developed into one of Scotland's most dynamic and award winning call centres and Internet businesses. Transactor is used by KFIS for household insurance in the call-centre, and on the Internet, where recent additional investment in Transactor technology by KFIS has seen a major Internet upgrade that has scaled up the enterprise solution for high performance aggregator business alongside the busy household call-centre operation. The new Internet solution went live earlier this year, paving the way for XML interfaces with both Confused and Money Supermarket, which are now making a major contribution to business growth. Additional aggregator links are under construction for live use in quarter four 2007.
"We have grown our Household book faster than our main motor product, and the feedback from our users is that the Transactor system is easy to train on and intuitive in nature," confirms Martin Oliver, Managing Director, KFIS. "We have moved from a single supplier to a panel of twelve, and we have recently upgraded the software and hardware platforms to allow for growth in quotation volumes via the internet. All this was achieved on time and in line with budget."
KFIS are committed to Transactor because of its functionality, configurability, and architecture. The KFIS Transactor solution supports a large and growing number of UK household insurers, using a mixture of Polaris and TGSL schemes, with several of the panel-including AXA-now trading under full cycle EDI.
"We are very proud to be associated with KwikFit Insurance Services and its household insurance operation. We are also delighted that Transactor continues to be KwikFit's system of choice for exploiting the technical opportunities in household insurance the industry will be presented with over the coming period", comments Ray Vincent, Managing Director, TGSL. "We have introduced a range of new functionality and technology into KFIS over the past year or so, including the Transactor 6.2 solution based on Microsoft’s .Net architecture in conjunction with an SQL database, internet to call centre database replication, and a full infrastructure replacement providing a ‘zero single point of failure’ solution."
TGSL looks forward to further development of the Transactor offering, including the release later this year of its new SMS and WAP based
e-business capabilities. TGSL has now ‘arrived’ as a major player in the call-centre and Internet software market, and will over the coming years demonstrate ever more emphatically just what a difference it can make with its .Net based Transactor technology, in tandem with forward thinking clients such as KFIS.
