Cornish Mutual Order
Winchester, United Kingdom, 4 December 2009. South West rural insurer Cornish Mutual offer a broad range of cover for farms, small businesses and individuals based in the rural communities of Cornwall, Devon, Somerset and Dorset. This includes insurance for home, property, vehicles, machinery, livestock, produce and loss of earnings.
With offices in Exeter and Truro, Cornish Mutual believe that by living and working in the South West they are more accessible to their Members and better able to understand and meet their insurance needs.
In addition to its two main offices, Cornish Mutual has nineteen Insurance Inspectors based in the region. These local Insurance Inspectors offer a friendly, face-to-face service, as well as in-depth knowledge of the local area and conditions. They are always happy to visit, to give advice and help with managing risks, claims and quotes.
As a mutual organisation Cornish Mutual is owned by its Members not shareholders it is therefore continually reinvesting in the local personal service that sets it apart from the crowd. This is something their Members really value, particularly as insurance expertise and knowledge is becoming harder to find at a local level.
With its roots in agriculture the company aims to become the insurer of choice for the rural (not urban) communities of the South West. The company plans to do this by providing the same local personal service its farming Members have been enjoying for generations.
In late 2009 Cornish Mutual placed a system replacement order with Transactor Global Solutions, which is scheduled to go live in the summer of 2010. ‘We are delighted to have won this business’, confirms Ian Blakesley, Operations Manager, TGSL. ‘Cornish Mutual operate in a part of the market that we have been keen to break in to, with a range of covers that will demonstrate Transactor’s strengths around some very interesting personal and commercial classes of business.’
